I turned the big 24 on Sunday August 1st. I kind of want to warp into the mind set of a 40-year-old so I can somehow appreciate this age and realize how foolish I am for feeling "old." But like I was telling my brother, its a complete mid point. You look back and really it wasn't that long ago you were a child and its not that long until you are considered a full fledged adult. Its a weird point in life. A quarter life crisis of sorts.
On Saturday night we went to Santana Row in San Jose. Its a fun spot to go to at night. Its a mixture of uber snotty foo foo people and regular touristy folk. I really loved my outfit and I would have taken some pics but it was so dark already. But I was really over dressed but it was almost my birthday so I didn't care. We had the best cake at Cocola Bakery. Seriously it was heaven!
On Sunday, my aunt and uncle wanted to treat me and Ben to dinner as a birthday gift to me and as an early bday give to him (its my loves turn August 10th). It was lovely we went to an Italian restaurant in Berkeley called Cafe Venezia. It was a bit pricey but so delicious. Then we went to a place called Tara's Organic Icecream. I got some pistachio ice cream. My uncle got avocado ice cream. I tasted it and it wasn't as weird as I thought it would be but I wouldn't get it lol.
I had a wonderful birthday! I hope this "I feel old" feeling goes away soon because its LAME!
